SECU Family House is a safe, nurturing, affordable home for patients and their loved ones who travel great distances to UNC Hospitals for life-saving procedures and serious illnesses. Refugee Support Center
Refugee Support Center is working to ensure welcoming and fair practices and access for refugees by working with other agencies and groups that assist refugees, developing community partners to enhance and expand our services, and making presentations to community organizations to foster understanding of the local refugee populations
NC MedAssist
NC MedAssist "is the only statewide non-profit pharmacy in North Carolina. Through our various programs, we provide prescription and over-the-counter medications to our neighbors in need at no cost. We believe that no one should ever have to choose between purchasing food or buying their medicine."
Red Cross
The Red Cross "always aims to prevent and relieve suffering with every action. The Red Cross shelters, feeds, and provides comfort to people affected by disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation’s blood; teaches skills that save lives; distributes international humanitarian aid; and supports veterans, military members, and their families."
ASSADE + ASSADE Website Teams
ASSADE provides critical primary health services and health education to an average of 800 vulnerable persons monthly. ASSADE is in the highlands in San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala, an area where malnutrition and poor water quality present many health challenges for the largely indigenous communities. It focuses on reaching and serving some of the most marginalized, indigenous communities in the country through healthcare services.
